What is the Mid-Atlantic Power League (MAPL)?
The Mid-Atlantic Power League is a league for elite junior girls' volleyball teams along the mid-Atlantic coast. The purpose of the MAPL is to provide an opportunity for girls to play the top competition during the club season.
How do I join MAPL?
You will need to contact tom.lowery@vaelite.com. Please be prepared to email your club philosophy and how your club has faired in the past.
What is the MAPL selection process?
Teams that are entering in more than one event will always get preferential treatment as well as clubs that have participated from the beginning.
How do I register for events?
Please go to www.advancedeventsystems.com to register.
How much does it cost to participate in an event?
2009 pricing is $400 per team per event.
When will teams be selected?
Teams will be chosen roughly 1 month before the event.
How do I cancel my team's registration?
This is easily done through www.advancedeventsystems.com. But if it is within two weeks of the event your registration fee will be forfeited.
Are there any age requirements?
Currently we are supporting teams 14 and 15 and then in the upper division teams 16 through 18.
What is the skill level of the participants?
This is meant to be the highest level of competition and teams should be "Open" level teams.
What time should we arrive the day of the tournament?
Please arrive by 8:00 a.m.
How long does a tournament last?
All day Saturday and most of Sunday. Each team is guaranteed 6 matches and may play as many as 10.
Where does the team check-in on tournament day?
The team will check-in at the venue.
What documents do you need to bring to the tournament?
Just bring your team roster.
When will we get tournament information?
Roughly a month before the event.
When will the events seeding be posted on the Web?
Roughly a month before the event.
What hotels are in the area? Who can I contact about travel arrangements? What kind of eating establishments are nearby?
